AI on the edge — smart even offline
At sea, connectivity can never be assumed. AquaWave puts its models on the device: intelligence never depends on the link; the link only amplifies it.
Sense → control → evolve: the onboard intelligence loop
From sensors to actuators, the loop closes onboard — the cloud only trains the next model. If the link drops, the intelligence doesn't.
- 01
Sense
TDS, pH, turbidity, chlorine, flow, pressure, vibration, current
- 02
Edge inference
On-device models forecast quality trends and recognize fault signatures
- 03
Closed-loop control
Pump speed, valves and dosing adjusted automatically in seconds
- 04
Selective uplink
Insights and alerts go up via satellite/cellular; raw data stays onboard
- 05
Cloud iteration
Fleet data trains new models, pushed OTA — the fleet gets smarter
Water quality forecasting
Multi-parameter sensing predicts quality trends — adjust before problems happen, not after.
Dosing optimization
Closed-loop AI dosing keeps effluent quality while cutting chemical use.
Predictive maintenance
Vibration, current and pressure signatures warn of faults before they happen, with spare-part guidance.
Energy optimization
Production scheduled against generation capacity and consumption curves — peak shaving, lower energy per ton.
Why edge AI?
Satellite links have latency, jitter and cost. All AquaWave inference runs onboard: real-time control never waits for the cloud, and sensitive data never leaves the ship. The cloud is for model iteration and fleet-level analytics only.
